Dr. Benjamin V. Koren
Dr. Benjamin V. Koren grew up in Durham, North Carolina where he attended Jordan High School. He went on and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Koren was accepted to the University of North Carolina’s prestigious dental program and completed his Doctoral of Dental Surgery degree in 1999. He then was chosen to be part of the Health Professions Scholarship Program sponsored by the United States Air Force. He completed a post doctoral study in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Barksdale Air Force, Louisiana and went on to practice two years at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico. While serving his country for three years in the United States Air Force, Dr. Koren earned the National Defense Service Medal.
Dr. Koren remains affiliated with the UNC Dental School as an Adjunct Assistant Professor and is a member of the American Dental Association and North Carolina Dental Society.

Beth
Beth is a DA II. She has been part of our dental team since 2002. She was born in Goldsboro, NC and currently resides there. Beth is x-ray certified and also received her certificate for coronal polishing as well as many other certificates. She has been married for four years to her loving husband Eric. She is thrilled to be a part of our Smithfield dental practice. She takes pride in giving her patients optimum dental health. She enjoys spending time with her family, her cat Cleo and also time at the beach.
Carla
Carla is our Front Office Coordinator. She is a graduate of Southern Nash Senior High School and Johnston Community College where she earned her Diploma in Cosmetology and certificates in Office Systems Technology, Microsoft Word/Word Art. Carla is now attending Wake Technical College to pursue
her dream in getting a degree in business administration and human resource
management. She has been in the Dental/Medical Field for over five years. In her spare time she is a Licensed Cosmetologist of nineteen years and enjoys both the Dental and Cosmetology field but most of all she enjoys spending time at her children’s sporting/athletic events and competitions with her husband and family.

Linda
Linda was born in Smithfield, NC and currently resides in Selma. She has been a part of our dental team since 2005 and is currently a front office coordinator. Linda has held administrative positions in schools as well as other medical facilities. When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her 2 grandchildren. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends and weekends at the beach.
Melissa H.
Melissa was born and raised in Goldsboro and moved to the Garner area in 2000. She graduation from Wayne Community College in 1999 with a
Dental Assisting degree. Melissa has been in the dental field for over 10
years. She is very involved with her son Zayne's activities, coaches soccer
and helps with her church's youth activities. She welcomed her daughter
Azure in 2009 and looks forward to watching her grow. She is committed to
excellence and is always looking to expand her knowledge in the dental field
with continuing education courses.

Samantha D.
Samantha is a
Registered Dental Hygienist and Dental Assistant II. She is a graduate of
Wake Tech Community College Dental Assisting of 1991 and Wayne Community
College for Dental Hygiene in 2002. She joined Smithfield Family Dentistry
in 2009 with 18 years of dental experience. She has been a mentor to Wake
Tech Dental Assistant students for over 10 years. Samantha takes great pride
in her profession Building a comfortable and safe environment for the
patient is a big priority to her. She attending continuing education
frequently to keep her updated on her dental career. Samantha is a native of
Garner, NC and now resides in Clayton, NC. She is married and has 2
children. She loves spending time with her husband, kids, friends and
family. Favorite pastimes are the beach, dancing being outdoor and concerts. Picture coming soon.

Staci
Staci was born in Goldsboro, NC where she presently resides with her two children. She is a DA II and has been with our practice since 2005. She has been in the dental field for almost six years and loves it as much today as when she first started.
Shawna
Shawna is a DA II who primarily works in our Hygiene Department.
She is certified in Radiology, Coronal Polishing and CPR. Shawna has been a
dental assistant since 1995. She is married to her wonderful husband, Scott
and has three amazing children, Sara 15, Rebecca 11, and Brack 6. When she is
not at work she stays busy at baseball games, clogging competitions, and
