Root Canals

Root Canal or endodontic therapy treats the living tissue within the tooth. We may refer to the tissue as pulp or nerve. This tissue can be irreversibly damaged due to infection or injury. An infection of the nerve can be a result of severe decay. Untreated the nerve will eventually die. Infection of this magnitude can travel to the surrounding tissue and bone forming an abscess, a painful and often serious type of infection.
