How Often Do I Need X-rays?

The American Dental Association recommends all new patients being evaluated for dental disease and development have posterior bitewing, selected periapical and panorex x-rays. Bitewing and pericapical x-rays are to be repeated every 6-12 months depending on your dental decay history. Panorex x-rays are to be repeated every 3-5 years depending on your dental development.
